WebHat form on an external website

Hi to everyone, today we want to show you a mini-guide on a question that our partners ask us more often, or rather how you can create a form on an external website in order to enroll new user automatically to the desired list for your Newsletter . Very simple, here is what to do.

The first step is to create a page that WebHat “secretly” will contain the true form. Let’s go to “Start-> Contents-> Pages-> New Page”, here we indicate the name of the page and the template to use (doesn’t matter which template to choose because so no one will see this page).

Now select our page in the page tree, click on “Add or remove modules”, and drag the module “DataDyn: Management and Data Collection” in one of the boxes of our templates.

At this point, we have inserted a module associated with the list on the page, so let’s move on “Start-> DataDyn-> Manage entity-> Manage Display” and select, at the window just pop up, a list associate to our page, where we have included the required form before.

Now we just have to save it, open our site and find the code for the form. To help in the search will show you a sample code:

 <form  id="Form_Contatti" style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;"
enctype="multipart/form-data" method="post"
action="http://www.miodominio.it/italian/Contatti.php">
<input type="hidden" value="8" name="iEntitaId" />
<input type="hidden" value="form_operation" name="sAction"/>
<div>
<input id="input" type="text" value="Nome" name="c80">
<input id="input" type="text" value="Cognome" name="c81">
<input id="input" type="text" value="E-mail" name="c82">
<input id="submitt" type="submit" value="Iscriviti"/>
</div>
</form>

As you can see HTML code is very intuitive, even for a novice would not be difficult to implement, just copy and paste it on any web pages.

Stay tuned!
